A Typical Ranch Set

Here is a look at a set we did of a custom Ranch in Gloucester.  It has 3 modular units or "boxes" that makes up the main part of the house and 2 boxes for a two car attached garage.  It was built with a saddle roof and a 4' covered porch in front.  Though this is a Ranch design, the 9/12 roof pitch actually gave enough space upstairs that this customer put in a full flight of stairs to access it.  The upstairs of the home and garage is connected with each other, adding to the space.  The upstairs came unfinished from the factory and will be completed later by the customer.

Here we see the first box lifted by the crane and being set on the foundation.  It is the back of the house.  In the 3rd picture, you can see part of the living room and dining room.  The 2nd box will fit snug to this one and will sit on the piers you see inside the foundation.

This 1st picture is looking down the marriage wall that the next box will mate up to.  The 2nd picture shows an empty carrier that the back box was shipped on.  This will go back to the factory after the set.  The spreader bars and cables are being attached to the middle box in this picture also.  The 3rd picture shows the middle box beginning to be lifted from its carrier.

Here the middle box is being set down on the foundation.  You can see in the 2nd picture that we have room left for the front box.  You can see the hallway inside this section.  The 3rd picture shows us lifting the front box off its carrier.

Here the 3rd and final front box is being set in place.  It is not shown, but after that we set the two boxes that made up the garage and then raised the roof.  The last two pictures show the finished product with garage and raised roof and front porch.  These pictures make the house look small, but it is actually quite large with over 2500 sq. ft. on the first floor alone.
